Barcelona Zoo first opened in 1892 and covers nearly 32 acres of space within Parc de la Ciutadella in the city. The zoo is home to lions, gorillas, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroses, giraffes and elephants and is separated by region. What can I expect at the Barcelona Zoo?
Barcelona zoo is home to 4,000 animals from over 400 species including dolphins, tropical birds, reptiles and the descendants of the famous albino gorilla Snowflake, who died in 2003.
The zoo also offers a whole host of activities and services which make it the perfect day out for the entire family: restaurants, bars, pony rides, a miniature railway, electric cars, shops and picnic areas, as well as daily dolphin shows at 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM, and an entire area dedicated to young children.
How do I get my tickets?
Shortly after your booking is complete, you will receive an e-ticket sent to the email address entered at time of booking, please print out your ticket and bring it with you to Barcelona Zoo.
Are there child rates?
Yes, child rates are available for children between 3 to 12 years. Children between 0-2 years are free, when accompanied by a paying adult.
